Webflow owns and oversees the trademarks for the Webflow name and logos. We developed this trademark usage policy to make it:

  1. Easy for anyone to use the Webflow name or logo for community-oriented efforts that help promote and improve Webflow
  2. Clear how Webflow-related businesses and projects can — and can’t — use the Webflow name and logo
  3. Make it hard for anyone to use the Webflow name and logo to unfairly profit from, trick, or confuse people looking for official Webflow resources

Webflow’s trademark usage policy

You’ll need permission from Webflow, Inc. to use the Webflow name or logo as part of any project, product, service, domain name, or company name.

And we’ll be happy to grant permission to use the Webflow name and logo for projects that:

  • Promote the reach and improvement of Webflow software
  • Are non-commercial, aka, not for-profit

However: please do not use Webflow as part of a domain name. Only officially recognized Webflow communities may use the name in or as part of their domain name.

All other Webflow-related businesses or projects can use the Webflow name and logo to refer to and explain their services, but not as part of a product, project, service, domain name, or company name. They cannot use them in any way that suggests an affiliation with or endorsement by Webflow.

For example, a consulting company can describe its business as “123 Web Services, offering Webflow consulting for small businesses,” but can’t call its business “The Webflow Consulting Company.”

Similarly, a business related to Webflow templates can describe itself as “XYZ Templates, the world’s best Webflow templates,” but cannot call itself “The Webflow Template Portal.”

Similarly, it’s okay to use the Webflow logo as part of a page that describes your products or services, but it is not okay to use it as part of your company or product logo or branding itself.

We do not allow the use of the trademark in advertising, including AdSense/AdWords.

Please note that we do not want to limit commercial activity around Webflow. We encourage Webflow-based businesses, and thousands of them are thriving while complying with this policy, including our Webflow Experts.

The abbreviation “WF” is not covered by the Webflow trademarks and you are free to use it in any way you see fit.

When in doubt about your use of the Webflow name or logo, please contact us for clarification.
